The khazneh- Petra

The best-known of the monuments at Petra, the Khazneh is also the first to greet the visitor arriving via the Siq. The facade, carved out from the sandstone cliff wall, is 40m high. The name Khazneh, which means 'treasury', it seems to have been something between a temple and a tomb, possibly both at once.

The Ancient city Petra- Amman

Where the Nabataeans lived- One of the new 7th wonders.Petra lies about 3-5 hours from south of Amman, about 2 hours north of Aqaba, on the edges of the desert of the Wadi Araba. The city is surrounded by towering hills of rust-coloured sandstone which gave the city natural protection against invaders. This is the Siq, the entrance to Petra.

The shore of Dead Sea

Dead Sea- "Sea of Salt"; Arabic: ألبَحْر ألمَيّت, Al-Bahr Al-Mayyit,/ The Sea Of Loot

Dead sea is said to be the lowest point on Earth, depth of 1083feet, and its the deepest hypersaline lake in the world. Its 8.6 times saltier than the normal sea. It is 67 km long, 18km wide. There's no seaweed or plants of any kind in or around the water. There are no fish or any kind of swimming, squirming creatures living in or near the water. As a matter of fact, what you'll see on the shores of the Sea is white, crystals of salt covering EVERYTHING.The salts found in the Dead Sea are mineral salts. These mineral salts are famous for its medicinal properties, for curing skin diseases, arthritis, and many people visits Dead Sea for the same.

If I write about Dead sea, there are endless things to write. like the dead sea gets its input of water mostly from the Jordan River, and theres no outlet. The water evaporates, making the sea water more salty.

The Dead Sea was about the land in which the Prophet Loot lived. His tribe had done wrong (act of homosexuality) and was given a punishment.
The punishment arrived when angels were sent down by Allah to Loot. The angels raised the land where the prophet's tribe lived and threw it back into the ground, causing the ground near the impact to cave in. Thus, the lowest land on Earth was formed because of this punishment. The sinners were destroyed and the followers were saved. The sura of Ar-Rum of the Quran refers to the Dead Sea as the lowest place on earth.

The cave of the seven sleepers- Ahl al kahf- Amman

The story of the seven sleepers is clearly mentioned in Quran (Sura 18). these are six men and their dog,( total seven -thus the seven sleepers)who fled from the presecution of the local ruler, and hide themselves in this cave, and they fell asleep. they slept in the cave by ALLAHs wish, for 100 yrs and more, to awaken and found out that, even the coins in their pockets are ancient, and ppl were amazed to see them and their money. later on they died and still their bones are burried inside the cave, and one could see them. Theres a mosque beside this cave, where ladies can go in with full Hijab.
